We are a group of three male and one female doctors based over 2 sites. The branches are based at Bentley and Woodlands. Our aim is to continue to provide a friendly service. You may choose to see any of the doctors in the practice regardless of whom you are registered with.
Our service is planned to meet the needs of the community, but we welcome any suggestions which may improve the service.
Patients wishing to register should call at reception and either hand in their completed medical card or fill in a registration form available from reception. You will be offered an appointment with one of our practice nurses for a registration medical.
We operate a zero tolerance policy to abusive/violent behavior.
Informing Patients of their Named GP
From April 2015 all GP practices are required to provide all their patients with a named GP who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that our surgery provides to them.
Every patient at this practice has been assigned to one of the GP partners.
Please be assured that this will not impact your experience of the care the Practice offers, the provision of appointments, your treatment, or prevent you from seeing any GP in the practice as you have always done.
It is important to be clear that you do not need to wait and only see your named GP.
If you would like to know who your allocated GP is then please ask us when you next attend or contact Reception who will be happy to inform you. If you have a preference as to which GP this is the Practice will make reasonable efforts to accommodate this request, however this may not be possible and is dependent on each GP’s list size.
From 1st April it is a contractual requirement for practices to publish on their practice website, by the end of the financial year (i.e 31st March 2016) the mean earnings for all GPs in their practice relating to the previous financial year (i.e 2015/2016).
If patients do not have internet access and ask to see this information, contractors are required to provide this information either in paper form, on a poster of by showing the patient the information on the practice website.
All earnings reported are pre-tax, National Insurance (NI) and employee pension contributions and for contractors the figures are net of practice expenses incurred.
The mean GP earnings figure is calculated to include all income for all contractors (all GPs who are party to the contract for at least six months in the financial year), salaried and locum GPs who worked full or part time in the practice (for a total of six months or more within the 2014/2015 financial year). GPs that work eight sessions or more are considered full time, and any GPs working less than this are considered part time.
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in The Ransome Practice in the last financial year is displayed below
GP Earnings - The Ransome Practice
NHS England requires that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised and the required disclosure is shown below. However, it should be noted that the way the earnings are calculated is potentially misleading as it
does not take into account how much time the doctors spend working in the practice and should not be used for any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparisons to other practices.
The average pay for GPs working in The Ransome Practice in the last financial year was £78,461 before tax and National Insurance.
This is for 4 x full time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.
